Memory and Baggage (from The Guardians [Eloheim/The Council])

Part of what keeps you unable to be in the moment is the baggage from the past that you carry along with you.

This doesn't mean that you have to lose memories or forget about things that have occurred.

You know the difference between a memory and baggage?
One is growth and the other is suffering.

Be cautious that when you reflect upon the past you reflect upon it in a way that promotes growth rather than reflecting upon it in a way that is conducive to suffering.

A way that promotes growth is a way that says, "The past happened and it helped me become who I am today. It made me alert about different things I may not want to ever do again," et cetera, et cetera, it makes you aware, conscious.

When the past is just there to create suffering, typically what happens is you replay it in your mind over and over again.

You may replay it and wish you would've done it differently.

You may replay it in the same way you did before and beat yourself up over and over again.
